I made this ad for 84 cents

GO FORWARD THOUGHT OF THE WEEK ➡️

A few weeks ago, I was killing time between Zoom meetings. Just needed to reset my brain for a minute.

So I pulled up a product I liked and thought: “Let’s see what AI can really do.”

I opened Veo3, wrote a clean prompt (nothing wild, just clear and specific) and hit enter. Thirty seconds later, I had something that blew my mind.

No agency. No creative team. Just me, a clear vision, and the right inputs.

Last year, this would’ve taken thousands of dollars and a few weeks.

Today? It’s a side quest between Zoom calls and cost me 84 cents.

It’s not perfect. And it’s not replacing the craft of human creatives to make an ad that runs during NFL games.

But for a founder or team who needs to move fast, it’s an incredible tool for quickly showing your creative team what you want the ad to be. Or to pitch an MVP version of a new product to customers.

Because with the right prompt and the right inputs, AI helps you skip the bottlenecks and ship your vision. Fast. Cheap. Good enough to get attention, validate an idea, or move a conversation forward.

But here’s the part nobody’s talking about: this isn’t just about speed or cost. It’s about removing excuses. You don’t need more budget. You need more guts.

Because when everyone can make beautiful creative content, looking good isn’t the advantage anymore.

Having something worth saying is.

AI can make you look professional. But it can’t make you matter. It won’t give your brand a voice. Or a soul. Or a reason to be remembered.

That’s still your job.

Most founders are busy asking,
“How do we look more like [insert big brand]?”

The smart ones are asking,
“What do we believe that no one else is brave enough to say?”

Because in a world where everyone can look polished, the winners are the ones who sound different.

Here’s your challenge: next time you need an ad, skip the brief. Make it yourself. Then ask:

Does this just look good?

Or does it actually sound like you?

The second one is worth way more than 84 cents.

So if you’re wondering how to actually use AI to drive your ideas forward, i.e. how to write the best prompt, build your AI tool stack, and how to translate your vision into actual work…

Hit me up.

This is what I do, and I’d love to help.

ISSUE #75 Welcome to the Forward Obsessed Founder, my newsletter with insights, awesome tools, and real-world advice to grow your business and career. GO FORWARD THOUGHT OF THE WEEK ➡️ A few weeks ago, I watched a 19-year-old make smarter strategic decisions than most executives twice her age. She wasn’t improvising. She wasn’t just lucky. She was thinking with AI, treating it like a partner, not a novelty. When she received a job offer, she didn’t call a mentor or scribble a pros and cons...

ISSUE #73 Welcome to the Forward Obsessed Founder, my newsletter with insights, awesome tools, and real-world advice to grow your business and career. GO FORWARD THOUGHT OF THE WEEK ➡️ A few weeks ago, I was hyped up on a quad espresso. After all, one shot doesn’t cut it when your brain’s firing startup ideas at 3AM. I had this itch. What if I could whip up a simple tool that helps you riff on startup ideas based on your skills and passions? I asked Claude. Wrote a prompt like I was texting a...

ISSUE #72 Welcome to the Forward Obsessed Founder, my newsletter with insights, awesome tools, and real-world advice to grow your business and career. GO FORWARD THOUGHT OF THE WEEK ➡️ A few months ago, my team told me the truth, and it stung. Not because they were mean. But because they were honest. And I finally asked the right question. But first, here’s how I figured out the right questions to ask. I ran my entire communication history through Claude to scan thousands of my messages. I...
