Does Your AI Know How You Think?

GO FORWARD THOUGHT OF THE WEEK ➡️

Last week I was showing off my AI setup to a potential client.

I gave Claude a simple prompt: "Read my meeting transcripts and extract my core beliefs."

Within seconds it spat out a perfect list of my business philosophy.

  • Systems-first thinking
  • Rent it, buy it, then build it
  • Technology amplifies creativity

The client went quiet. Then said "I've been using AI for months. Never thought to teach it to who I am first."

Then it hit me. Most people treat AI like a fancy calculator. You punch in numbers and get an answer.

But what if your AI actually understood how YOU think? What if it knew your decision-making style? Your core beliefs about business? Your weird quirks and preferences?

That's when AI stops being a tool and becomes an extension of your brain.

Here's what I mean…

Before my AI knew my ideology:

After: Content that sounds unmistakably like me.

Generic LinkedIn posts about "leveraging AI for growth" (ugh) 🤢

Reflects my specific worldview on technology.

So what's your competitive advantage? It's not a tool. It's how that tool expresses YOUR unique perspective.

Most founders I talk to can connect the technical pieces. They automate workflows and integrate platforms. But the outputs still feel generic.

Like they could come from anyone.

The missing piece isn't technical. It's ideological. Your AI needs to understand not just WHAT you do, but HOW you think.

For example, when I capture ideas during meetings, my AI doesn't just transcribe notes. It extracts insights that align with my framework and suggests content angles that sound like me.

It's like having a business partner who knows you really well and never stops working.

Here's my challenge for you: Before you build another workflow or try another prompt, ask yourself this...

Does my AI understand who I am and how I think?

Because without that foundation, you're not building an operating system. You're just organizing fancy calculators.

What core belief drives your business decisions? Hit reply and tell me. I'm genuinely curious how other founders think about this.

CONTEXT = KING.

The future is about context engineering. If you haven’t seen it yet, you won’t want to miss this video where Andrej Karpathy (the guy who coined the term Vibe Coding, and worked on critical systems that power Tesla & OpenAI)

video preview

Now let’s get nerdy for a second. Because let’s be honest, you probably won’t watch the whole video and spend 20 hours writing notes on it and experimenting with the teachings like I did.

Software 1.0 = You program the robot chef.
Software 2.0 = You teach the robot chef by feeding it thousands of meals.
Software 3.0 = You just talk to the robot chef and it figures it out.

The truth is, most founders never take the time to hard-wire their values, beliefs, and quirks into their AI systems. That’s why their outputs sound like everyone else’s.

If you want your AI to feel less like a calculator and more like a true business partner, start by teaching it your ideology. That’s where the magic happens.

If you’re curious about how to do this, I’m happy to help you develop your own “ideology prompts” for your AI OS. Book a call with me and we’ll turn your unique worldview into an unfair advantage.

ISSUE #78 Welcome to the Forward Obsessed Founder, my newsletter with insights, awesome tools, and real-world advice to grow your business and career. GO FORWARD THOUGHT OF THE WEEK ➡️ I was stuck in a dead zone yesterday. No internet. No AI. For the first time in months, I had to think without help. It was terrifying. I literally had to remind my brain how to solve the problem. That's when it hit me. We just invented fire. But most people are still rubbing sticks together. Let me explain....

ISSUE #76 Welcome to the Forward Obsessed Founder, my newsletter with insights, awesome tools, and real-world advice to grow your business and career. GO FORWARD THOUGHT OF THE WEEK ➡️ A founder opens his laptop at 7:30 AM. He rambles for two minutes into a note taker. He hits send. Within minutes, his entire content calendar is populated with content ideas, angles, and he picks the ones he likes most and then his team prioritizes project briefs, and three product prototypes are already in...

ISSUE #75 Welcome to the Forward Obsessed Founder, my newsletter with insights, awesome tools, and real-world advice to grow your business and career. GO FORWARD THOUGHT OF THE WEEK ➡️ A few weeks ago, I watched a 19-year-old make smarter strategic decisions than most executives twice her age. She wasn’t improvising. She wasn’t just lucky. She was thinking with AI, treating it like a partner, not a novelty. When she received a job offer, she didn’t call a mentor or scribble a pros and cons...
